Normalization

Prior to heat treating the two cleavers I’m working on, they need to be normalized. Essentially this means heating and then slowly cooling the steel to relax the tension inside the blade. I don’t know why this needs to be done, and yet I know it still must happen. So that’s what I’m doing today.
